Warning: this is sad
Dear friends, I don't really want to write this. Even though I have always written entries on this blog for Ivy, it feels completely wrong to write without her. But then everything has felt wrong and off-balance without my furry friend since she left us behind for a better place. She had a great life full of adventures right up to the last day, and we even chased a squirrel together (slowly, but with enthusiasm) during a visit to the park quite recently. Ivy left us peacefully and gently, just as she lived her life: loved by her family and loving us in the simple and uncomplicated way that dogs know how to do so well. Ben, who is 7 years old now, said it best: "God gets to have a turn with Ivy now." We will miss you dearly, sweet Ivy. Thank you for sharing your life with us. I love you.
your Randy

So very sorry to read this sad news, we were blogging pals with you and Ivy many years ago now. May she run across the rainbow bridge and chase the clouds, the stars and the sun, and hopefully some heavenly squirrels too. My dog Marvin, is 16 years old now, and I haven't written the blog for a long time, but I still remember Ivy from so long ago, I remember when Ben was a baby! Much love from Jeannie and Marvin The Hollow Hound, from Bonnie Scotland xx
Soft wooooos,

We are so sorry to hear about Ivy! But we know that she is getting lots of yogurt in heaven

Thank you, friends, for your kind words. They are meaningful and supportive and I appreciate you all.
So sorry to hear of your loss. Suzy Sheltie left us today. Know they are now romping together across the bridge.

Dear Randy, Lindsay, and Ben,
It's been a while since we've checked any blogs, a couple years maybe, but tonight we thought it'd be a good idea to. I actually think of Ivy often and have wondered how she is. We're sorry to hear about Ivy. But yes, she had such a good life, which included chasing those evil squirrels! Ben is so smart saying that God has a turn with Ivy. You were one of 3 of our first blogging friends. You introduced us to a whole online animal new world, one that we still embrace and have made many online friends as well as the in-person friends. We are still in touch with Ender (Hana's cousin) as well as Casper D Dog's family. Ender and Casper were the other 2 first dog blogging friends we made.
Hugs to you, and Ivy, too, whereever she may be.
