four legs to two... uh oh!
my dog friends, i think i am failing in my job of teaching benjamin how to be a good dog. he is starting to give up walking on four legs in favor of just two. how can he ever expect to be a good dog walking around like that?

Oh Ivy...do not feel bad. If you look at Ben closely, he is beginning to resemble your Randy much more than he resembles you! Maybe this is meant to be.
We hope that your other dog lessons stay with him forever. Particularly the ones about how to love.

There is an up side to this Ivy. He can use his front paws for food now that he is not using them to walk. And he will probably share with you!

Yeah, trust me. As soon as they can carry a snack cup around, they carry food and drop it. You really win in the long run.

There's hope yet, Ivy! Ben is just learning to walk and at this point they spent more time teetering and toppling and landing on their butts! He may just give up and decide that 4 feet are better than two and that you were right all along!

does he go out the doggie door and pee on trees in the yard yet?????ivys, you have missed your mark teaching ben, be better if you kept reading all those bunny books and he turned out to be a ben bunny
oh no, back to training for him. It looks like he had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction at the end there!!
Ivy, I think you are doing a great job...it's just at those people pups have minds of their own. Better watch out...your Benjamin is going to be chasing you down soon!!!

our sis is always telling us to slow down because she cant go as fast walking on two legs as we can on four. so ben might not be able to go as fast, but at least he'll be able to reach a lot of things and get you food and toys and stuff.
this is something probably for the news items on your blog ivys, but it must be said.....when i first started blogging at christmas in 2006, i ran on how much ivys hated squierrels and were evil and how i think it was randys brother or something was killed by a squirrel, and that was the very first blog i commented on....do you realize how long ago that was???...i had the blog platoon of four plus mongrel cat which nobody came to, there was marvin braveheart dog that no longer blogs and the only dog blog i come to now is ivys ever since i stopped dog blogging and hanna has dropped and bow wow dog and now i am into general stuff on putz instead of dogs...BUT THAT WAS ALMOST 2 years ago..i just had to say even marriages don't last as long as you ivys
