it has almost been seven dog years since i last bloggeded, but today i just haf to tell you wut happened in my front yard. my peepol were just getting home from wutever fun place they went wifout me (as uzual) wen blossom (the hounddoggirl who lives down the street) came runnin' and barkin' and carrying on all over my front yard.

my randy tried to corral her but blossom is way faster than my randy. my lindsay was bein' protective of my ben. if she were a dog she wud haf had all her fur standin' up prickly. then blossoms momma came drivin up in her car to join the game. blossom thot it was very very fun that so many peepol were playin chase with her.

so poor me (who nobody ever lisens to) is in the back yard and i am woofin and woofin that i want to play too. my randy comes to the house but insted of getting me out you know wut he does? he gets my super-stinky treats from up on the way up high place and offers them to blossom!

i sayd hey!hey!hey! those are MY super-stinky treats! but nobody lissened, not one bit.

now i ask you, is that fair?

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - The Finch Arboretum is being overrun by ground squirrels, and Spokane Parks and Recreation is bringing in some special artillery.

The agency is using a special machine called the Rodenator Pro to detonate some of the estimated 100 to 150 squirrels tearing up the grounds.

Shades of Carl Spackler, the gopher-hating groundskeeper from "Caddyshack."

The Rodenator Pro pumps propane and oxygen into the tunnels of squirrels, then sends an electric spark that causes an explosion. The shock waves kill the squirrels and collapse their tunnels - but in a humane way, the agency said.

wen we waked up there wuz snow on the ground! and then it just kept coming out of the sky too!

i taught my ben how to play like a snow dog...

i went on vacation for a long long LONG time and just got back two sleeps ago. my peepol packed theyr big clothes boxes on wheels and took me to my new friend loki's house to visit. loki is big and cool. he can pee for a minute wifout stopping. i wish i could do that. i didnt know how long a visit it wuz going to be but then i had so many sleeps there i lost count! i thot it mite live there forever. so i had to teach loki's peepol about ivy's rules for living. like that you haf to get up at 5 for dog breakfast. they never heard of that rule before. it was hard work for me to teach them let me tell you.

then my peepol just showed up again! it wuz so crazy! i wuz like 'hey loki, its another day. what you wanna do?' and he said 'lets go pee on something' and i said 'ok' and then the door opened and there were my peepol! my lindsay and randy and benjamin! they took me back to my own dog house and i got to skweek all my own toys and i checked the pee mail on the post outside my house. there wuz a lot to check!

so i asked the peepol 'where were you peepol?' and they said 'we missed you too ivy,' which isn't an answer so i had to dogtective it out. i checked the camera and found these picktures:

so it looks like my benjamin missed me too and wuz looking for ivy everywhere but couldn't find me. silly ben -- you shud haf just looked at loki's house first!

so glad to be home! so glad to haf my peepol! for some reason they haf forgotten the breakfast rule too so i am teaching it to them again.

oh how thanksful ivy is!

my benjamin is getting so big... he had a birthday party yesterday and there were so many little peepol running around my house and my living room wuz filled with beach balls and balloons and i wuz so good and i didn't yell at anybody at all!

my benjamin is so good at opening presents. i think he is an expert at it now.

there wuz yummy cake that of course i didn't get any for ivy, even though i wuz so good.

i think my benjamin and his friends had a good time and that is all that matters, even if i didn't get anything. *sniff*

maybe i will haf better luck on turkey day! i saw a giant turkey in the cold box! i know it is coming soon!

hey hey dog friends. i am such a dog blogging bum. i hardly ever post anything these days because i hardly ever get my picture taken. my dog camera has been totally taken over by pictures of my benjamin being cute. poor ivy.

turbo asked about pam and ken... i didn't grow any this year but my peepol bought some from a fundraiser to support the youth group. my lindsay made one into elmo!

my benjamin was a candy-eating skeleton for halloween. i wuz hoping that some of that candy wud fall out from between those empty bones, but no luck. at least i didnt haf to wear a costume this year! hurray!

hey hey dog friends! today my lindsay and ben went to petsmart (without me, of course). my ben was rummaging around in the discount toy bin and found a toy he couldn't put down. when my lindsay told him it was for dogs, he said "Iyee! Iyee!" so they bought it for me and brot it home.

i helpeded my peepol so much this weekend. we put in a new bafroom sink and new door lockers and painted the front of the house and made blueberry pie and cookies.

hey hey dog friends! ivy here with another dog blog entry... my randy and lindsay had their 8th (in human years) wedding anniversary (that's nearly a half century in dog years!) so they decided to take us all out for an adventure.

my benjamin is still practicing his driving skills (especially backing up) so he didn't get to captain the car this time. maybe next time they will let him drive and he will take us all to a giant dog park.

this time we just went up a big mountain with lots of chipmunks and stayed at a cabin with a hot tub. i am reelly glad they didn't want me to get in the hot tub... wut a scary bath that would be!

we walked around a neat town called front royal. i don't know why they called it that. i didn't see any left, right or rear royal, and i don't know how you can have just a front without all the rest of it. anyway, i liked front royal rite away wen i saw this "wanted" poster up in a shop window:

knowing the streets would be safe from evil skwerrels made me breathe easier. i got to go window shopping with my benjamin and had a great time.

then we went to a winery called fox meadow. i sat on a bench under a tree and kept a sharp lookout for foxes while my lindsay tasted the wine.

don't worry - i know that grapes are bad for dogs so i didn't eat any.

then my benjamin went to visit dinosaur land. i never knew that sharks and octopuses counted as dinosaurs. my randy tried to convince them to let me in, but the dinosaur land peepol said they didn't serve my kind there. oh well.

it is probly just as well i didn't go in... my benjamin got eaten by a shark!

and then he rode on a giant cobra!

i swear that boy's middle name must be danger!

after all that death-defying dino-rangling, we were both tuckered out.

my peepol did it to me again yesterday... abandoned me to stay in my house all by myself while they went to haf fun wifout me!

they went to busch gardens and saw a show about wolves. at the end of the show, the newest wolf cub came out with his trainer (a dog!) who is teaching him manners. i thot it was great that the manners the wolf is learning are just wut my peepol are always telling me not to do!

my benjamin had a great time running around and getting wet. i don't understand why he likes it so much... i must not have done a good job of teaching him about what good dog fun is all about.

my peepol got in reelly late and i got my dinner reelly late and i got in trubble for being too "pushy" about asking for it. this morning wen i spotted an evil skwerrel trying to sneak up on us early in the morning and sounded the alarm, i got in trubble again!! geesh! i can't win.

berry farm adventure

hey hey dog friends! i know it has been a long time since i blogged... my peepol were gone for three weeks and left me here with my new best friend denise, who gives me hot dogs and loves me forever. i will get to the bottom of why they were gone after i am done looking at the crazy huge pile of pictures they took. but for now let me tell you wut i did yesterday.

we all piled into my dog utility vehicle (yes! i reelly got to go!!) and went a long way to the berry farm. my back seat is so much more crowded with benjamin, his bigger-than-necessary seat, and all his accessories, so i hardly had a place to sit down. i kept trying to sneak into the front, but i got denied every time. geesh!

wen we got out of the car, we hopped into a trailer hooked to a tractor of death! and went for the scariest, bumpiest ride ever! i nearly jumped out of the wagon a few times but i got yanked back by my randy, who was doing a lot of unnecessary complaining: something about his fingers and my collar that i didn't understand.

then my peepol started filling buckets with berries. i tried to eat a few but those branches were too poky!

they were reelly giant berries!

my benjamin apparently has totally gotten over his fear of goats; he let them lick corn and goat food rite out of his hands! it was the most dangerous thing i had ever seen, but my peepol were completely unfazed and even told me to stop whining and yelling about it. gee whiz, peepol! who is going to protect you if not ivy?

it was very pretty at my house yesterday. there was lots of sunshine and peepol outside and birds and dogs. my friend sandy came over to play in my yard. she played wif one of my toys. i even let her squeak it.

we spent some time soaking up the sunshine.

since there were no skweerls my ben fetched my toys for me. what a great day!

hey hey dog friends! i got to open the first present of christmas morning and guess wut i got?

yup! you guessed it! (or maybe you looked at the picture). I got a new skweaky carrot! it wuz the first toy that my lindsay ever gave me wen i wuz a puppy. every once in a while my carrot gets old and tired and goes away for a little while and wen he comes back, he is all new and happy again! it's a christmas miracle!

oh dog friends! wut evil thing has come into my house? just look and see:

my peepol went out and wen they came back they brot this tree inside wif them. now everydog knows that trees do not belong inside your house, but i think this tree is even more wrong than that. i think it is the invasion vehicle of a skwerrel plot to take over my house! i know that skwerrels live in trees and they are very good at hiding in the branches. so who is to say that there aren't thousands of skwerrels hiding out in the branches of this tree just waiting for me to fall asleep so they can burst out on us! i will haf to be vigilent, dog friends. no sleep for ivy til that trojan tree is gone!

hey hey dog friends! my benjamin went to visit this man in red tonite. i dont know why, but lots of children come to visit him. he doesnt seem to be lonely. my benjamin looks like he is just about to take off wif those bells. tee hee!

i wuz so happy but then just wen i started to crunch it my randy tried to take it away. i didnt let go of it and it wuz kinda exciting to be bad until my randy cut his finger and then i felt sorta bad. but not reelly. it wuz my bone!

hey hey dog friends... you know how modest i am and how i hate to brag (tee hee!) but i just haf to tell you about how good i wuz the other nite.

my peepol came home from yet another ride-in-the-car-wifout-ivy and wen my lindsay came thru the door she wuz carrying a very sleepy benjamin in her arms. they went straight to ben's room so i snuck in behind them and watched as she rocked and snuggled and laid him down to nap. just as i was trying to get a peek of the sleeping baby (he sure is cute wen he sleeps!) i heard the door close behind me! i wuz trapped!

i didnt want to yell and wake up my poor sleepy benjamin, so i got reelly close to the crack-under-the-door and whispered 'psst! let me out of here!' as softly as i cud. nobody heard me! i listened as hard as i cud and every time i heard peepol footsteps outside the door i whispered at them. i kept hearing my randy say 'where is ivy?' and 'i think i heard her far away' but nobody knew where i wuz.

it seemed like forever before that door finally opened and my lindsay let me free! my peepol both said they were so sorry and that i wuz such a good girl. humph! they got that rite!

things we are thankful for

happy giving thanks day every dog! i haf so many things to be thankful for that i wanted to share a few of them wif you. since my benjamin turned one years old today and is now all growed up, i let him share his thankful thots as well. but since this is my blog after all, i will go first.

first, i am thankful for freda, who went ahead to the rainbow bridge on saturday. she was the first dog blogging friend i ever met and one of the nicest dog friends i know. an excellent nose-artist, a very good caretaker of her peepol, and a real smart cookie. i am so thankful for the chance to call her my friend.

my benjamin is thankful for grandma and grandpa coming to play wif him. and, of course, for lemons.

i am thankful for bacon lady, who thinks of me when she goes to the waffle house of wonder and brings me back some bacon goodness.

benjamin says he is thankful for the funnies and puzzles in the newspaper, but i know it is just because he likes to eat them wen nobody is looking.

i am very thankful for giant turkeys! i got to haf some turkey dog tea just before bed that made me very happy indeed.

benjamin is thankful for chocolate birfday cake and warm milk to wash it down wif.

i hope that all my dog friends have so much great stuff to be thankful for!

this morning my benjamin got ouched right on his eyelid!

i didnt see it happen but i sure heard it... so i came running in and asked him wut happened. my benjamin said that he wuz fighting a fierce four-legged sea creature and it looked like it had surrendered but then it suddenly hit him in the eye wif one of its legs!

a LONG ride!

hey hey dog friends - sorry i haf not been writing more lately. i took my peepol for a very long ride-in-the-car and then all the peepol got sick and i had to take good care of them. so here is the story of my ride... oh, is that my exit?

A long ride

He's tired but won't nap,

Though my peepol are trying

P.S. The ride finally did end after a deer and a raccoon tried to crash into us and don't think i haf ever been happier to get home.

hey hey dog friends! i had such a good day today: i got to go for a walk AND a ride-in-the-car!

my peepol said that our walk cud haf been longer but my bp had to nap and we missed the first part of it. but i didnt care cuz it wuz pretty long anyway and there were LOTS of other dogs walking wif theyr peepol too! thank you very much too everyone who contributed to help feed hungry peepol. i think we all raised enuf money to help a lot of peepol not go hungry.

then i got to go for a ride in my dog car and ride wif my head out sniffing the fast breezes on the road. wut a great day!

but since i mite not go riding for a while i decided i had better go for a walk. and wut better way to take a walk than going for a CROP walk! the way it works is i take my peepol for a long walk and everyone else pays us to do it. well, they give a donation to help feed hungry peepol around the world, but i like to think of it as getting paid to go for a walk.

today i finally had enuf: my peepol haf been going for rides in the car and always taking benjamin but never taking me!

so tonite wen my randy opened the door and went out to the car with benjamin in his arms i made my bold move and slipped out just before the door closed! i wuz so daring and quick - you shud haf seen it!

i jumped into my dog car and took my seat, ready to go for a dogventure to whatever exciting place we were going to. my randy wuz so mean, he told me that they weren't going anywhere at all... that they were just getting more stuff out of the car, but of corse i didn't fall for that lie, no sir! i just sat in my dog car and refused to come out until i got my dogventure!

and you know wut my randy did? he closed the door and went in the house, leaving me in there! i wuz not to be fooled so easily though - i just knew we were about to go for a ride, so i stayed put. in a couple of minutes my randy came back out and tried to convince me to come inside, but i just laughed and said no way jose! so he went in again.

next time he came out wif the camera and i thot hmmmm... maybe this cud be embarassing. so i gave up and got out of the car.

...at least i got sum yummy cheerios for my trouble!

i am sorry that i hafent written in my bloggy for a while; some of my dog friends thot that i mite be sicky or that my internet wuz down but that wuzzent it. i wuz just on vacation! i went to abby's house for a long time and we had so much fun! i wudda taken picktures but my silly peepol took the camera wif them. they had to do sumthing while i wuz on vacation so they went to the sandy eggo zoo.

here is my randy trying to convince my ben that he is a monkey. since he got back he has been making a lot of monkey noises so i guess it musta worked.

next the silly peepol tried to make my ben into a flower. this did not work cuz he still smells just the same since he came back!

here my lindsay took a turn trying to make my ben into a cowboy... er, a toadboy, if there is such a thing.

wen i saw this pickture i got upset: why is my ben petting this silly-looking dog? my randy told me that it is a goat dog and that ben pet it just once and wen they tried to get him to pet the goat dog again he screamed a loud scream and wuddent do it! that's my benjamin! only ivy gets petting! i said i wished i had been there to protect my baby but my randy said zoos are not for ivy.

last nite my lindsay came home in my dog-u-v with a HUGE thing sticking out of the trunk! i yelled and yelled at it to stay away as it wuz backing up to my house but my randy just hushed me and said "don't wake ben up!!" and he looked reelly mad so i hushed.

then my peepol brot the huge thing into my house and i wuz kinda skared of it until i realized that it wuz a new dog couch just for me!

i am starting to notice a disturbing trend: my peepol are not taking as many picktures of me as they used to.

for example... a few days ago me and my randy and lindsay and bp went for a ride-in-the-car to haf a dogventure.

of course my camera came along and i wuz happy to pose for cute ivy picktures as we loaded up.
i kept posing for picktures the whole trip but nobody paid any attention to ivy. instead, my bp got in all the picktures!

i ran away and took cover between the magic white drinking bowl-o-plenty and the evil bathtub, but the beeping and stinking kept right on going strong as ever.

my randy waved a magic cape in the air around the flashing red eye that looks down from the ceiling, and recited sum interesting words and the beeping finally quit.

oh my dogness! we had the biggest, suddenest thunderstorm yesterday!

there wuz crazy wind and buckets of water flying sideways and lightning and thunder and all kinds of stuff going on in the sky. i didnt go out in it even though i like to stand in the rain cuz the last time i tried that i got hit by hail! no more hail for ivy!

the big tree in my front yard that the birds always fight over got so upset about the storm that she lost her head!

well dog friends, since nobody seems to be able to interpret my benjamin's writing i guess i need to tell what happened.

my peepol all went for a long ride in the car wifout ivy and they were gone so long it got dark and it wuz past dinnertime and past bedtime wen they all got home. i said wut happened? why did i miss my dinner?? and my randy said he wuz so sorry but traffic wuz reelly bad. i said that if traffic wuz so bad then traffic shud haf missed dinner, not ivy! but of corse nobody wuz lissening to ivy. my randy put ben to bed before he even fed me.

so the next day i looked at the picktures on my dog camera and there are cats and ben wif beer! wuts up wif that? my peepol told me that ben didnt get any beer he just liked to hold the can cuz it wuz pretty. i knew i shud haf gone along. i wuddent haf let cats or beer near my baby ben!

in the cat pickture you can see ben wearing his new bib. this is the coolest bib ever cuz it catches all the yummy food and then i get to lick it off!

gee, i wunder if that cat got to lick the bib cuz i wuzent there? i bet he did. stupid cat!

well dog friends, you were rite! you all kept telling me to watch out for benjamin's little hands but i thot you were joking... the little guy couldn't hurt anyone with those little tiny fingers, so i thot.

but then the other day i wuz coming in to lick his face (his face always tastes so good!) and he reached out and pulled one of my whiskers rite out of my nose!! yowzers! that hurt!

i wuz reelly good and i didnt bite or growl. i just cried a bit and made sure not to get close again. i asked my randy why my sweet little benjamin wuz so mean and he said that poor ben didn't have any whiskers of his own and he just wanted to borrow one of mine to try it out. i guess that makes sense.

but today he made it up to me. he wuz eating sumthing brite and orange and he seemed to be reelly luving it!

it looked like it must be so good so i stood close and let my benjamin know that i wanted to try some too.

and guess wut? my baby ben shared wif me! it turned out to be just carrots (why are they feeding the poor boy carrots anyway?) but i ate them all up anyway to be polite.

i told my benjamin thank you for the yummy carrots and that he could keep all the rest of them... and my whisker, too.

My house got a new ruff!

my peepol haf been all excited and weird and stuff lately. my lindsay took down all the picktures and mirrors from the walls and then they chopped up the last holly tree from in front of our house (i will haf to tell you more about that one later!)

i wondered why my peepol were acting so strangely and i asked them to explain themselves but of course they didnt lissen to me or answer any of my questions. i just had to keep my ears up and finally i heard that my house was getting a new ruff! woo hoo! how cool! hey, wut is a new ruff anyway?

i found out soon enuf! these four guys showed up in a giant truck early in the morning and started making an awful racket in my house. it sounded like my house wuz under attack! i scooted out into my backyard to keep an eye on them from a safe distance!

so now my house has a new ruff. i am just glad that those guys didn't try to change my ruff!!

My Benjamin's New Trick!

guess what? my benjamin can do a new trick! he can roll over! he looks very pleased wif himself, too.

of corse, he isn't as good at it as i am... and it took him almost five months to learn that trick but it only took me a couple of days and a couple of pork chops. poor benjamin didn't even get a cookie for all his hard work.

hey hey dog friends! i think spring has sprung in my back yard at long last! the sunshine has been warm and the shade has been cool and the breezes haf been most doglitefully breezy for days and days.

today my randy chased the noisy grass-eater around my yard and it ate up all the grass before he wuz able to stop it. the short grass always makes the birds and the skwerrels very happy for sum reason, so i went out to patrol my yard and make sure those critters know who is boss.

i found a yummy stick to chew on, so i took a break from patrolling to taste its branchy goodness.

then my pink hexapus came to try to steal my stick... but i said no stick for you! and i kept it all to myself

the hexapus left cuz she knew her stick skillz were no match for mine. then i ripped all the bark off the stick just to show any stinky skwerrels who mite be watching wut would happen to them if they dared to show their fluffy tails in my yard today! i think it must haf worked cuz i didnt see any skwerrels at all.

my poor benjamin didnt get any sticks today but it looks like he wuz hafing a good time anyway. some day i will haf to teach him how to skin a stick and keep the backyard safe from invaders. until then i gess i am on my own! it is a tuff job but somedog has to do it!

i haf recently discovered that babies are not all bad. they actually come wif some pretty cool stuff like fuzzy toys and reelly soft blankets. i am currently trying to claim this one as my own by sitting on it every chance i get. for some reason my peepol always yell at me wen i do. maybe they are upset becuz it is too small for me and they want me to haf a bigger blanket.

my favoritest place to nap is my dog couch. i haf it all furry so much that my peepol dont like to sit on it so it is all mine.

my benjamin is getting so strong and he likes to bounce in his magic levitating seat all the time now! my lindsay made a movie to show everybody and i helped...

wen my benjamin wuz finished bouncing, i gave him kisses! i am not sure wut he thought of that...

now on to more serious business...
for easter i got a reelly cool bone that has peanut butter in the middle! woo hoo!

the problum is that my peepol wanted me to eat it outside in my back yard, but it wuz cold out there! so naturally i brot my yummy bone inside to finish it. my peepol got all mad and crazy and stuff and told me to take it out. so i did, and then i brot it rite back inside again. for sum reason this did not satisfy them and they made me take it out in the cold again! after a few rounds of this i said enuf! this is my house and i live in it more than you peepol and i will eat my bone inside if i want to! and i refused to go back outside. i growled (just a little bit!) and got a spanking and it wuz all very unhappy. in the end i lost the battle of wills and had to eat my bone outside.

*sigh* ivy never wins.

my dog friends, you were rite. the new thing that came home wif my peepol from seattle is called a furminator, and it is taking away my fur!

every few days my lindsay gets that furminator thing out and makes me sit down and be good while she pets me wif it. it actually feels kinda good but wen it is over i look down and see that a bunch of my fur has abandoned ship!! she runs the furminator all over me except for the top of my head.

this got me thinking... my peepol haf very little fur on them except for the top of theyr heads. does that mean they furminate themselves wen i am not looking? are they trying to make me look like a peepol?? this is most distressing!

well i thot i had finally seen all the picktures from my peepol's trip to seattle and then i found the other spy camera had picktures on it too! my favorite one is of my benjamin riding in the airplane in style.

then i found out that the picktures on the camera were not the only thing that i had been missing from that trip... my lindsay had a super dog cookie for me from my cousins bruce and lois and she forgot to tell me! can you beleeve it? here is a pickture of my lindsay asking me if i want to eat the cookie and me saying yes-yes-yes!

so i think my peepol were feeling guilty about forgetting my cookie (they shud!) becuz today wen my lindsay wuz making cake she gave me the dreamy creamy box to lick!! woo hoo!!

hey hey dog friends! well i finally got another chance to look at the picktures on my spy camera and i got some more clues about ware my peepol went wen they abandoned me last week...

apparently they went someplace ware the cities float on water and they haf some sort of flying saucers on giant display stands. very strange!

oh my dogness! my peepol are finally back! they were gone for a whole week wifout telling me ware they were!

i wuz reelly upset and i barked and barked at them wen they left cuz i thot i wud be all alone but then pork loin lady and my friend cool dave came to take care of me and they gave me so many treats and played chase and gave me bbq beef ribs!! hurray for beef!

cool dave even took me for a walk-on-the-leash in a thousand-mile-an-hour wind. it wuz like going for a walk and sticking your head out the window of a car at the same time. cool!!!

so ware did my peepol go? i found about a zillion (ok maybe only 450) picktures on my spy camera. it is going to take me a while to sort them all out. the most disturbing is this one:

tonite i took my peepol over to my friend abby's house for a visit.

my peepol had chili con carne for dinner tonite. that means chili wif carne. but they shud haf called it chili con sour cream cuz thats wut they covered it wif! more importantly, i got to lick the sour cream-cicle spoon. note my excellent technique that allows me to get even the bits that stuck to the handle of the spoon. this takes years of practice to perfect let me tell you!

my strange disease!

hello again dog friends! i am sorry i haf not blogged all week. i haf been very busy taking care of my bp and trying to figure out this mysterious disease that i seemed to haf got and then got rid of.

on tuesday morning is wen it started i think. i wuz confused as ever and kept asking my randy if it wuz brekfest time and he said no! and then we did it again and again and i kept going back to sleep. then all of a sudden... my neck started chirping! it sounded like i had a bird in my throat! and just at the same time my randy springed out of bed and scooped my dogfood for brekfest!

i wuz worried that i wuddent be able to eat cuz of the bird but it didnt make any difference. how strange! stranger still is that it happened again each morning just like that... bird chirping, randy springing, dogfood pouring, gulp-gulp-gulp.

i wuz so worried about the bird growing up big and wut wud happen to me. wut if this is the thing called bird flu? but then my lindsay fixed it. she took that bird flu rite out of my neck and gave it to the bedpost next to my bed. i didnt even know that bedposts cud get bird flu... but i am not complaining as long as i dont haf to have it. i still hear the chirping every morning and now it just makes me happy cuz it means brekfest-time! woo hoo!

confusion

since my bp has come into my life, everything has become much more confusing. i used to know exactly wut my peepol were saying and wut it meant, but now i am not sure of anything anymore. my randy says do you want to go for a ride in the car? and i say yes! yes! and he says not you, ivy! i wuz talking to ben! then my lindsay says are you hungry? do you want to eat? and i say yes! yes! i do! i do! and she says not you ivy! i meant benjamin!

the worst confusion of all is that i dont know wen brekfest time is anymore. it used to be wen my randy got up out of bed then it wuz brekfest time. every day! that is always the way it has been! but now my randy gets up and i say good morning! time for brekfest! and he takes my bp in his arms and just walks rite past me!

so wen he comes back i walk in front of him and sit reelly pretty and try again but he walks past me again and goes back to bed! this happens a cupple of times almost every nite! how am i supposed to know wen it is brekfest time anymore? i am so confused!

hey hey dog friends! i got a new thing! gess wut it is?

yes, you gessed it: its a new doormat wif happy dogs all over it!

my randy brot it home from the target-dog store and i said oh cool! but then i got to thinking... is it a good thing becuz mailmen and cats will be too skared to come up on my porch, or is it a bad thing becuz peepol are going to be wiping theyr feets on dog faces? i dunno! wut do you think?

teaching my bp

here is a pickture of me yesterday while i wuz teaching my bp: warning him about the tricky ways of evil skwerrels and all theyr dangers.
as you can see, he is reelly starting to be more alert and pay attention to his lessons! he has good control of his head so he isn't flailing around all over the place; he just looks into my eyes and i tell him how to be a good puppy. i am so proud of him!
he is getting so big so fast too. my randy told me that wen they went to the peedy-a-fishin for bp's one-month-checkup he wuz already almost 13 pounds and 23 inches! yikes!

i noticed on the website of my new friends flash and peanut that while peanut got some cool art made of him, poor flash was left out! flash even had a reelly cute pickture that wudda made great art too!

so i made flash a little ivy art so he wuddent feel so bad. it may not be as good as cubby art, but it is the best a keeshond-X can do:
